Internship at WestCorp
We strive to create an environment that will ignite growth through meaningful and practical work related experience. Through an internship, students will be introduced to soft skills they will need later on to be successful in the workplace and in leadership roles.
Internship opportunities bridge the gap between the educational and professional worlds, making it easier to transition from academic life into a career. Internships can also serve as the foundation to landing a full-time job after graduation. Internships allow students to see what it might be like to work in a particular industry, or for a particular company.
An internship gives you the opportunity to:
- Gain valuable work experience before you graduate;
- Develop new skills and refine others;
- Apply knowledge gained from coursework to on-the-job situations;
- Reality-test tentative career choices;
- Meet and work with professionals, establishing contacts for letters of reference and networking;
- Experience new work environments;
- Earn money for tuition and expenses
Apprenticeships are for new graduates or professionals that may not have experience in our field but would like to obtain paid, relevant workplace experience while acquiring the skills and credentials to transition into the industry.
Candidates who complete our internship/apprenticeship can build a valuable network of colleagues and professional references that can help them obtain future internships or elevate their career growth in the future.
